Troubleshooting Wi-Fi Connection Issues

If you are having trouble getting your Smartpay terminal to connect to the internet via Wi-Fi (including your 4G Modem), try the below:

  • Restart the 4G or Wi-Fi modem. Once that is restarted, restart your Smartpay terminal as well by holding down the “Cancel” button and pressing “Function.” Once that reboots, check your internet connection again.
  • If the terminal is not able to connect to Wi-Fi, it will prompt to enter Wi-Fi details. Check your internet connection.
  • If the terminal is able to connect to Wi-Fi and shows a signal strength, but then says connecting again, there is likely a problem with internet access on the network or connection settings.
  • Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network – for example, a mobile hotspot. If this works, then the issue is with the internet connection.

You can check our Incident Status Page for the latest on your Smartpay terminal connection, and any issues that may be impacting your ability to use your Smartpay terminal.
