If you wish to have the ability to bypass a surcharge on a particular transaction, this service needs to be enabled on your Smartpay terminal. Call the Smartpay help centre team to get this set up at 1800 433 876.*
To bypass a transaction, enter the transaction amount into the terminal, then click the red “surcharge adds automatically” banner. The terminal will now ask for your surcharge bypass password. Enter this and the surcharge will be bypassed. You will be automatically billed for this amount.
